Confessions for spiritual growth

Growth is what a practice produces. These are confessions for the ordinary discipline of becoming what the Word already says you are.

Twelve of them, and the scripture each one stands on

There is no religion in my walk.

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Colossians 1:27 · KJV

There is no failure in my speech.

I refuse every form of bitterness.

But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth

There is no laziness in my work.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord

I express the fruits of joy daily.

Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation

I walk in perfection through the Scriptures.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 · KJV

I increase daily in spiritual stature and strength.

For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age

Hebrews 5:13-14 · KJV

I am built up and established in the Word.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth

1 Timothy 2:1-4 · KJV
