A confession a day,
and the verse under it.
What it is
Edifice is a devotional practice for Christians, on iPhone, Android and the web. One confession arrives each day, drawn from the themes you chose, with the scripture it stands on beside it. There is a reading mode for saying it slowly, a journal for what it did, and a streak that only asks you to show up.
What a confession is
Scripture said back in the first person, present tense. Not a wish and not a mantra — a sentence you can hold up because there is a verse under it. Every confession in the app carries its reference, and every reference is the King James Version, which is in the public domain.
Where the words come from
The devotional corpus is licensed, and the licence is held by the owner of this app. It is served here and in the app under that licence. Scripture is King James throughout; quotations are verbatim. Every item in the library carries its own rights metadata, and the open-source licences for the fonts and libraries the app uses are listed inside it, under Settings.
What it does not do
No advertising identifier, no advertising, and no third-party tracking. The site itself runs no JavaScript beyond the two store buttons and sets no cookies. What the app collects and what it deliberately does not are both written out on the privacy page, and an account can be erased from inside the app or from this page.
Reading here
The fifteen themes each have a page with real confessions on it, and the twelve chapters are here in full, a verse at a time. Nothing on those pages is a teaser: it is the same text the app serves.
Getting in touch
Support is one page with one contact route and an honest expectation of how long a reply takes.
